Am I Ready to be Ninoy?
Wednesday, October 29, 2008
When I got this Php100 stored value Metro Rail Transit (MRT) ticket a few weeks ago, I was reminded of the “I Am Ninoy” campaign I saw in a TVC late August in commemoration of Benigno ‘Ninoy’ Aquino Jr.’s 25th death anniversary. The campaign was meant to remind the Filipinos in general, especially the youth, of Ninoy’s sacrifice and heroism 25 years ago. It embodies “the selfless giving of the best of ourselves…and the advancement of the country as a whole,” according to IAmNinoy.com.

Tuesday, October 28, 2008After a long withstanding hesitation to have a personal blog site in addition to an existing travel & food site, I have finally resolved to share views about the more trivial things and life in general through my own perspective and call em “It’s Complicated.”
Although it may connote some sense of hopelessness by definition, it actually intends to share life from a realistic point of view. Life may more often be complicated than it’s not, but it doesn’t end there. As individuals, with our own free will and decision making sensibilities, we have the ability to effect change on our surroundings and even ourselves, when necessary.
Life is not always that simple. However, you can do something about it, even if it’s complicated.
