Digital Filipino Club & Bloggers’ Networking Night

 The Digital Filipino Club care of Ms. Janette Toral has organized a club members’ and bloggers’ fellowship night last October 25, 2008 at PAGCOR in Paranaque.

I had to take a taxi as I was 15 minutes late for the 6pm Pagcor shuttle who was picking up the attendees from 6750 Ayala. But I just arrived in time for dinner, before the program started. It was also my first time to enter a casino. Security was extra strict as my laptop and cameras were initially not allowed. Eventually, I was allowed my digital camera as long as I only shoot within the room where our event was happening. There’s a general policy that cameras are not allowed as some ‘guests’ don’t want to be recorded ‘playing.’

 The fellowship night focused on Ratified.org’s Philippines’ Top 100 Blogs for 2008, and the 2nd Digital Filipino 2008 Web Awards. Jehzeel Laurente of Jehzlau Concepts topped the list. He, and other top bloggers in the list such as Fitz, Ed, and Ederic, gave some advice to the audience about maintaining their blogs.

And of course, the night will not go by without some fun as blogger AJ joined a beautiful mistress in some dance grooves. Check out the short video below. A big thanks to Ms. Janette Toral for this great event. Kudos to Digital Filipino.
