Laughs & Gasps, the Aftermath

Indeed, it was a night of laughs, magic and gasps. Actually, they were more than gasps.

 I loved Gizelle Sanches’ naughty comedy, Mr. Wanlu’s ventriloquism acts and humor. It was absolutely great! And well, Kel and Jay’s tricks and mentalism were admirable. However, the latter part of the show gave more than gasps as the two performed surprising and logic-defying feats.

It is indeed different when you see it live than just watching it on TV; or if the performers are friends of yours. You worry for them because it is still possible that something might go wrong.

Good enough, the night ended well. And in that note, I am leaving you with 3 videos of the ‘fun’ and lighter moments of the show. =)

Laughs & Gasps

You are invited this Saturday, November 22, 2008 for a night of laughs, magic, comedy, and music at Laughs & Gasps. The show features “The Penn and Teller of the Philippines” - Kel & Jay , Ms. Giselle Sanchez, with the special participation of the Ventrillusionist Wanlu!

Show starts 7:30 pm with an entrance fee of Php250. This is for the benefit of Giselle Sanchez Foundation (This is a good one, not the foundations who were recipients of the Fertilizer Scam). Venue is at  Roofdeck, Vibal Publishing House - G. Araneta Ave., cor. Ma. Clara St., Quezon City .

Burnt After Watching

Together with Robinson’s Movieworld and Viva, Nuffnang Philiipines’ first movie premiere night for bloggers was held last night 8pm at Cinema 6 of the mall sponsor featuring “Burn After Reading” starring Brad Pitt and George Clooney.

Being more of an action-movie fanatic than comedy, I was more excited for the fact of being able to meet fellow Nuffnangers in person than to watch the film.

No, I’m not saying that you’ll go into flames after reading this article. I am referring to the movie premiere night of “Burn After Reading“  on Nov. 18, 2008, Tuesday, at Robinson’s Movie World, Robinson’s Galleria.

The movie stars Brad Pitt and George Clooney in a comedy-spy-adventure that will burn your hair in laughter.
